Hello everyone! I am thinking about trying Lineage2. But before I go and spend my money can u guys give me any information on it... anything is helpful. Remember I know ABSOLUTELY nothing. If u tell me that there are flying pigs in Lineage 2 then... well... I would probably believe you... dont get any ideas. Seriously I am looking for some pros and cons about the game to help me with my decision. Like whats the gameplay like etc. Also if I do join would there be anyone willing to let me join their clan (i believe its what it is called) so you can help me?
Any information I can get would be great!
BTW: I currently play Guild Wars so I am not new to MMORPGs and this game will be because after playing hours on end of Guild Wars I would like a change of taste every once and a while.
Thanks!

Lets see, where to start...
Lineage 2 is more of a persistant world than GW is. Instead of zoning places, everything is open all the time, so you could really meet anyone anywhere.
The skill setup is different, as you have 10 different skill bars and you can drag and drop skills any time.
A lot of the gameplay is focused toward leveling up, so if anyone told you it wasn't a grind, they would be lying to ya. It can tend to be repetative, but I find it interesting trying to work toward that next level.
Seems like a lot of the quests (in the starting areas, as I'm still pretty new to the game myself) are repeatable "go get me this many of this thing" type quests. My highest character is only lvl 15 yet, so I haven't been very far in the game. I'm not sure of the level cap, but it seems level 75 or 76 is where you don't need to be concerned with leveling.
They also offer multiclassing, which is basically the same thing as getting a second profession in GW. The only difference is, in L2, you can't get a sub class until you've hit lvl 75.
I find it discouraging sometimes. If you try to move on to a new area before you're ready, you can die easily. The bad thing about dying is that you lose xp with deaths above lvl 5 and can lose a level if your xp loss takes you past the point where you leveled up last.
Personnally, I like the game and don't mind playing on my own, but the one thing that makes it better, is if you have someone to party with, it makes it that much more fun if you have someone to hang out with and hunt nasties.
Hope this helps some. Feel free to ask any questions and I'll try to answer them for ya.

Yeah, good luck finding it. I bought the last copy that my EB Games had. It was only $10 that way but it was the Chronicle 1 version I think, very old, lots of updates to download.
Probably the easiest way, provided you have a decent internet connection, is to go here, sign up for a plaync master account if you don't already have one, then you can pay for the cd key and just download the game.
Otherwise go here. It says the have 8 left. Or you could just google it and see who else online has them for sale yet. I tried the EB Games site, but they don't even have them there.
