My guess... The games resolution was changed.
When you first start the game, it's usually automatically set at (I think) 1024x768.
You can change this though by going to Options at the login screen, or once you log onto your character.
Change Resolution to something like 1280x1024 (for 17" monitors) or 1280x960.
There's other options of resolution as well if you have a widescreen monitor.
I say play around with it till you find somethin you like.

Yeah... don't mess with the Option.ini file out of game.
Start the game, then go into Options (should be under "Delete Character")
This may be a different case if you're dealing with anything other than retail servers.
But if you are dealing with Retail... never really mess with any of the .ini files. You shouldn't need to.
If you need any changes done for in-game play, do them in-game/start the game.
So yeah, here's what to do step-by step
Start Lineage 2
Once you get to the login screen, look over to the right hand side of the window - Click "Options"
It should bring up a brand new lil mini-window that's semi-transparent
There, you should see "Resolution:" and a drop down box next to it
From there, you can pick which one fits best for your monitor size.
If you don't see any of that, then well... it isn't retail... and I would suggest PMing me further if you need help for a "free server" rather than discussing here on these forums.
